Master of Science in Oral BiologyProgram Overview | Apply to the Program | Annual Fees Program OverviewProgram Director: Dr. Edward Lally The degree is awarded after successful completion of both didactic coursework and research. The coursework requirements include 15 hours in oral biology and basic sciences related to the individual's area of interest. Candidates must also initiate and develop a research problem, which culminates in the writing and defense of a thesis. This research activity is spread over the three-year span of the program, with the majority of research taking place in the second year. The degree will be awarded no earlier than three years after matriculation, and annual fees may apply all three years of the program. Funding via various research grants may be pursued. Applications to the Master of Science in Oral Biology are independent of applications to any of the clinical specialty programs - acceptance in one does not imply acceptance in the other. |
