» Alumni Weekend 2007/Reunions for Classes Ending in "2" or "7"

Alumni Weekend is the time to connect with friends — old and new! Whether you graduated five or 50 years ago, we hope that you will come celebrate your pride in Penn Dental Medicine.

For the complete schedule of events, to see who's coming, for hotel reservation and tourist information, or to register with your credit card through a secure online transaction, visit the Alumni Weekend web site.

Beginning in 2007, the Dental Hygiene Reunion moves from Friday to Saturday of Alumni Weekend! All the Dental School's alumni will now celebrate together their pride in Penn Dental Medicine. Dental Hygiene alumni can register online through the Alumni Weekend web site.

Alumni who register by Friday, May 4, will receive a voucher for free campus parking on Saturday, May 12!

While on the Penn campus, immerse yourself in the intellectual, cultural, and social activities for all alumni. For a schedule of events, visit Penn's Alumni Weekend web site.

» Every Gift Counts!

"The excellence and leadership of Penn Dental Medicine are a direct reflection of the commitment and achievements of each and every one of you, and I am most appreciative of all you do to support the School and advance the dental profession."
–Morton Amsterdam Dean Marjorie K. Jeffcoat

Please help sustain Penn Dental Medicine's leadership in the profession by making your gift before June 30, the end of Penn's fiscal year. As the cost of excellence continues to rise, so does the need for increased support of the Dental Annual Giving Fund. Whatever the level of your support, your gift will make a difference to our students.

For your convenience, gifts to the Dental Annual Giving Fund can be made in several ways:

• Through a secure online transaction with a credit card at the Online Giving web site.

• Call the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at 215-898-8951 and make a gift with a credit card.

• By sending your check, made payable to the "Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania," to:

Office of Development and Alumni Relations
Robert Schattner Center
University of Pennsylvania
School of Dental Medicine
240 South 40th Street
Philadelphia, PA 19104-6030

• Owners of appreciated securities can obtain substantial tax benefits by transferring those assets directly to Penn. First, you will receive an income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the stock on the effective date of the gift. In addition, you avoid capital gains tax on the transfer. For transfer instructions, please contact the Office of the Treasurer at 215-898-7254 or via email at gifts@pobox.upenn.edu. This will help to ensure both timely receipt and appropriate allocation of the gift.

» On Campus: Philadelphia International Children's Festival

The Philadelphia International Children's Festival, one of the oldest festivals of its kind in the United States and regarded as one of the top ten in the world, returns to the Penn campus for six-days, April 29-May 5. Every spring, approximately 17,000 children and families of all backgrounds come together to celebrate myriad cultures and experience the magic of some the finest children's performing arts in the world.

For the schedule of events, visit the Children's Festival web site.
