Department of Endodontics

Faculty/Staff | Research | International Program | Microscope Training

The primary aim of the Department of Endodontics is to produce clinically excellent Endodontists who perform conventional as well as surgical endodontics using the microscope and state-of-the-art technologies and techniques with proficiency and excellence.

To achieve this Standard of Excellence, an understanding of the biological aspects of the practice of endodontics is achieved through ongoing studies that are investigating the biology of the pulp and periapical tissues in normal and diseased states. In addition, clinical procedures and techniques are constantly re-examined. This ensures that the students have complete comprehension of the presented endodontic problems and that they render excellent endodontic care to their patients.

Another principal aim is to produce future teachers and leaders in our field. By demanding the students' best at all times, by having students present their research and work during weekly seminars and by presenting at the annual meeting of the AAE, students are prepared to teach and to be leaders.
